An absurd take on the experience of  women of color, Up the Stairs concerns a young woman caught in a pattern of toxic behavior as she is helped in her journey of self-discovery by an astute therapist.  Comedic in tone the piece features  experimental editing to convey the sense of an endless loop of excess in food and sex.
